Base and Shade are 20” tall; Shade is 7” diameter.

This shade is one in an ongoing series featuring original loop designs combined with textures stolen from the paper sleeves of old vinyl 45s. The James Aarons ceramic base includes a coppery glaze that has been collaged with a gear thingy that I have been lugging around forever.

All "Empire" lamps include new sockets, plugs and wiring. Every lamp is a unique combination of hand-made ceramics and found objects produced in our Northern CA studios. The shades use heavy acid-free rag papers and are preserved with UV and moisture-lock archival protection.
