Base & Shade are 45" tall, Shade is 12" diameter.

This lamp base was the first produced in collaboration with ceramic artist James Aarons. The feet are from a floor lamp that I disassembled. James saw it and then drew a picture of the shape that should go on top, which he made to resemble a white cake frosted with cracked glaze. For some reason, the shade for this base, which is really heavy, needed to be outlandishly tall. The whole composition was inspired by a green and gold wallpaper pattern I found, which I combined with bits of red and silver screen prints and an off-white section stitches with gold, green, orange and silver thread.
