Base and Shade are 28” tall; Shade is 8” in diameter
This tall skinny lamp combines a metallic glaze ceramic base with a Deco neck that came from an old 1930s floor lamp. The shade is a collage of reproductions of engravings taken from The Works in Architecture of the late Robert and James Adam, a book of architectural drawings that was printed in 1822. This is the second of a series that will reflect this design, but of course each will be entirely unique.
All "Empire" lamps include new sockets, plugs and wiring. Every lamp is a unique combination of hand-made ceramics and found objects produced in our Northern CA studios. The shades use heavy acid-free rag papers and are preserved with UV and moisture-lock archival protection.
