Base & Shade are 23.5" tall, Shade is 10" diameter.

Ceramic artist James Aarons made the base. Our pals Anne Cook and Will Mosgrove provided a box full of lamp parts. (Now that I have been making lamps for over a year, people are starting to bring me such goody boxes. I didn't know that would be a side benefit of this new practice.) That's where the metal column piece came from. I had scans of column illustrations from an 18th century book of architectural detail engravings and then this flow pattern that first appeared in my film Sensing the World by Echo in 2006. So, it pays never to throw anything away, I guess. The rest is gold stitching on thick screen print paper, and then a really nice deep purple zipper.

All "Empire" lamps include new sockets, plugs and wiring.
