Bringing together a number of incongruous materials to generate a surprising sensation, heft meets levity meets sparkle in Oh! The base began as a lost grinding stone found in a salvage yard that sidled up to a muscular hunk of industrial metal lolling about close by. Humorously crowning these two weighty finds is a delicate antique lamp crystal.  The construction begged for the softening effects of a delicate floral design contrasted by a bold geometric pattern. All the seemingly wrong angles add up to one very right sculpture sure to spark delight wherever it lands.

All "Empire" lamps include new sockets, plugs and wiring. Every lamp is a unique combination of hand-made ceramics and found objects produced in our Northern CA studios. The shades use heavy acid-free rag papers and are preserved with UV and moisture-lock archival protection.
